#JusticeForGeorgeFloyd
Minneapolis-St.Paul is my home.
The murder of George Floyd by the Minneapolis Police Department sent shockwaves throughout America. Police brutality against Black and Brown people reached a breaking point in May 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and high unemployment rates. We're done with seeing more unarmed, non-violent Black men killed by police officers. We've had enough of the racial disparities that have long plagued communities of color, especially the Black community. We're tired of White privilege. Black lives matter and reform should have happened yesterday, but here we are –- in the streets to fight for justice.

“A riot is the language of the unheard.”
I grew up in Frogtown in St.Paul and attended Central High School. My stomping ground was around the Midway neighborhood along University Ave.
