Sarah and I attended high school together in Saint Paul. When she had reached out to me in 2019 to photograph her wedding in 2020, we were unprepared for what the world would become due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To accommodate health safety, Sarah and Mike held a small intimate wedding in the backyard with a dozen close family members and friends. We ended the evening with a stroll to see the sun set over the Mississippi River and then sparklers to conclude the celebration before everyone went home.
